Fig. 8 shows the tilt of one period, slightly over on one side of the face, combined with the tall crown. Other modes have placed the hat well on to the back of the head, and given full exposure to the hair and forehead.
It would be impossible to mention all the vagaries of fashion ; the few styles selected for the purpose of guidance to correct drawing are sufficient for the purpose.
